Join us on April 12 and 13 for the Crane Symposium, celebrating Door County’s crane populations! Wisconsin cranes have made a comeback after decades of declining populations. Discover why populations declined and why they are resurging, learn about current threats to crane populations, and participate in the Midwest Crane Count! Keynote Presentation and Reception

Visit us at The Ridges for a reception to see artwork by photographer Len Villano highlighting Sandhill Cranes found in Wisconsin. Drinks and light hors d’oeuvres will be available while you enjoy the exhibit.

The Keynote Presentation will follow the reception. Anne Lacy, Director of Eastern Flyway Programs – North America for the International Crane Foundation, will address the future of North American cranes and efforts to protect them, particularly the Sandhill Crane given the recent proposal for a hunting season.

Time: Saturday, April 12; reception starts at 4 pm, followed by Keynote Presentation at 5 pm
